An earthquake occurred in the Lazarevskoye and Central districts of Sochi, there were no casualties or damage. Mayor Andrey Proshunin announced this in his Telegram channel.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Black Sea basin, about 5 km from the coast of Sochi. In the Lazarevskoye region, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4, in the Central region - 5 magnitude, Kommersant reports.
According to Proshunin, the residents of Lazarevskoye region felt the seismic activity around 13:00 Moscow time. The Unified Dispatch Service also received calls from residents of Magri and Loo. At this moment, the tremors have stopped, the mayor of Sochi wrote.
