This year marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of Yervand Kochar, the famous Armenian artist-sculptor, the author of the "Sasuntsi David" statue.
The year is doubly jubilee, as it also marks the 65th year of the installation of the statue, and in connection with that, it is planned to celebrate that event with modern approaches and adequate pomp.
On November 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a 3-part event will be held in the area adjacent to the "Sasuntsi David" statue created by the maestro. The creative history of the creation of the statue will be presented according to the notes left by Maestro Kochar.
The concert part of the event will be provided by the "Tambata" orchestra. The evening will be concluded with 2 demonstrations on the statue of David of Sassoon. The first animated, light show with the number will be accompanied by script development, innovative and other effects, sound designs, and the second one will be performed on the pedestal of the statue of David of Sasuntsi, based on photos representing the creation of the statue, chronic footage, Kochar's live voice and which also marks the artist's birthday. 125th anniversary.
The event is also aimed at popularizing intangible cultural heritage, it is implemented by the Yervand Kochar Museum with a grant from the RA Ministry of Education and Culture.
