US President Donald Trump offers Ukraine security guarantees for 15 years with the possibility of extension, while Ukraine wants them for a period of 30-50 years in a row. Vladimir Zelensky told journalists about this, according to Novosti.Live.
"Indeed, this proposed agreement is not permanent. The document is intended for 15 years with the possibility of extension. I raised this issue with the president.
"I told him that the conflict has been going on for almost 15 years. Therefore, I really wish the warranties were longer. I told him that we would like to discuss the possibility of 30, 40 or 50 year warranties.
The president said he will think about it," he said.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview to TASS that Vladimir Zelensky and his European partners are not ready for constructive negotiations. Lavrov emphasized that Kiev "terrorizes the civilian population" in Russia and carries out sabotage against civilian infrastructure.
