Thailand and Cambodia have reaffirmed their commitment to return to dialogue through previously reached agreements for the settlement of the border conflict. This was stated in the statement issued by the border general committee of the two countries, which held a session in Chanthaburi province of Thailand.
"The meeting reaffirms the unwavering commitment to the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement of July 28, 2025,
as well as the agreements reached at the meetings of the General Border Committee and the Joint Border Committee, as well as other existing agreements between Cambodia and Thailand," the statement said.
Thailand and Cambodia also agreed to "apply to the joint border committee to resume long-term peace along the border in accordance with existing agreements between the two countries to resume survey and demarcation work as soon as possible."
Bangkok and Phnom Penh will "cooperate within the framework of the Joint Coordination Task Force on Humanitarian Demining". "Both parties reaffirm their obligations under the Convention on the Prohibition of Use."
