In the government, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Armenia Francoise Jacob signed the framework document of Armenia-UN sustainable development cooperation for 2026-2030. The heads of the Armenian representations of UN agencies and representatives of the RA state departments participated in the signing ceremony. The Deputy Prime Minister made a welcome speech, after which the Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Armenia Francoise Jacob presented is the main content of the document and the scope of cooperation.
From the point of view of the development of Armenia-UN cooperation, the approval of the document and the implementation of further joint programs within its framework were emphasized on both sides.
Mher Grigoryan emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Armenia is determined to continue the reforms in all the mentioned directions and is happy to take this path together with the development partners of Armenia.
"The new framework of our cooperation is fully in line with the Government's priorities and provides an opportunity to combine development policy with Armenia's peace agenda. This allows us to have a unified, coordinated and future-oriented program cooperation," the deputy prime minister noted.
"We are signing this framework of cooperation at an important stage for the development of Armenia. The decisions made today will shape the country's development path for the coming decades.
Our common goal is to serve the people of Armenia, especially those who are most vulnerable. 2026 will be a people-centered year, which will be marked by developments that emphasize trust, inclusiveness and social cohesion," said the UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia.
