Radiation levels at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant correspond to natural levels, and there is no threat to personnel, the public, or the environment. This was reported on the station's Telegram channel.

"The level of radiation in the territory of the NPP, in the sanitary protection zone and in the observation zone corresponds to natural levels and is within normal limits," the statement said.

The department announced that on the night of December 6, the ZAPP was disconnected from external electricity for several hours due to the activation of the automatic protection system. After that, the plant went into full power cut mode.

According to regulations, backup diesel generators have been switched on to meet domestic electricity requirements. The press service emphasized that all security systems worked normally.

Power to the station has now been restored by the 330 kV Feroslavnaya-1 line. The cause of the power line outage is being investigated.
