"Fact" daily writes:
Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, diplomat of the Mother See, was predictably arrested. Predictably, not because Pashinyan's government presented any valid arguments to the court, but because today it is Nikol Pashinyan's government in Armenia that does not need any arguments or laws to "sewn" a case against someone and deprive him of his freedom. Moreover, it is not a secret that they have 2-3 judges "on duty" of their "heart" in the person of, for example, Mr. Mel Konyan. So, in that sense, let's repeat, there are no surprises.
Different and well-founded hypotheses can be considered as to what caused the arrest of Saint Arshak.
In particular, let's note that the Armenian Apostolic Church, despite the systematic persecutions carried out by Pashinyan and the government led by him, does not give way and resists the anti-church attack led by the Catholicos of All Armenians.
In that sense, the ambassador of the Mother See is an important clergyman, so Pashinyan openly sought his arrest. Moreover, Pashinyan and the Kapakans consider Reverend Arshak as their enemy, because the Reverend denounced those who deny the Armenian Genocide, those who deny the Motherland, and those who want to destroy the Armenian Church. On the other hand, Nikol Pashinyan, who planned to hold another anti-church, false "mass" in Gyumri's Seven Wounds Church, has yet to go there, and failed miserably in that undertaking. All the clergy of Shirak Diocese have refused to offer liturgy according to the Pashinyan "ritual", and they have to find a priest with "arend".
All this, of course, can be considered more thoroughly. It is possible to address in detail why some "circumstance" related to the events of 8 years ago (at that, extremely suspicious) suddenly became an occasion to initiate legal proceedings right now. But what happened, we think, has other, no less motives.
The point is that Nikol Pashinyan has never been confident in himself. At least as Prime Minister. In addition to the fact that he obviously entered the "suit" not wearing his own clothes, he has already caused so many catastrophic consequences in the past 8 years that the mentioned mistrust has turned into continuous fears, anxieties and worries. The first among them is, of course, the fear of losing power. Power is not eternal, in the case of Nikol Pashinyan, even more so, because he no longer has "a single gram" of public trust, and losing it, being removed from office, is naturally inevitable. Moreover, it is very close, which terrifies Nikol Pashinyan.
And in general, the fear of losing power is a dictatorial fear. Fear and suspicion that loved ones are conspiracies in the matter. Fear and suspicions that behind his back his caps are arranging some things. Fear that this or that disagreement could grow into a popular movement that would deprive him of power. Just fear that there are other institutions, forces and individuals who enjoy public trust. And he is not among them anymore.
After all that Pashinyan has done with Armenia, Artsakh, and the Armenian people, there is, of course, full reason to be unsure and have various fears. He has nothing more to offer, except for new territorial concessions in favor of the enemy, repressions against RA citizens, arrests, persecutions and persecutions. Perhaps new adventurous decisions and new disasters.
And the criminal cases and arrests are the direct evidence of those fears, anxieties and worries. It is the most obvious evidence that he has no confidence, unless he is told that he is afraid. A self-confident person standing firmly on his feet does not need to resort to such methods. And, it should be noted that this is a well-founded perception on his part. The bad thing is that the entire state system of our country, all law enforcement, investigative, judicial bodies, local self-government bodies, the entire people, the entire life of the country have become hostages of Pashinyan's fears and anxieties.
On the other hand, it is obvious that Pashinyan is persecuting the Armenian Apostolic Church in order to destroy the centuries-old structure, which is the long-standing dream of the enemies of our nation. And an unprecedented situation has been created. In the conditions of the independent statehood of Armenia, at this very moment, 4 holy fathers of the Armenian Apostolic Church are detained: Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, Baptist Bishop Proshyan. Moreover, they are detained on obviously absurd, absolutely baseless charges. With such accusations, especially in the last case, that the Pashinyan government seems to want to make a mockery of reason.
Of course, it should also be noted that it is highly doubtful what results this will bring to Pashinyan. Ha, he may have found a few bishops or just priests, including disorganized ones, ready to dance under his duduk. But the true devotees of AAP are facing the anti-Christian and anti-church persecutions of CP and Pashinyan with a high front.
And Pashinyan, continuing to cling to the power, perhaps already understands that his support remains the law enforcement agencies, according to which not all of them. Not that everyone in law enforcement is unabashedly excited about all of this. Not all of them, for example, Masis Melkonyan and Armen Danielyan. But, well, there are...
And the Church is the backbone of our people's identity. It is precisely because of this that this campaign, war, persecution has been directed against the Church as a national and network structure. And you know, it is unlikely that Turkey and Azerbaijan would cause as much damage to the Armenian people, national values, and the Armenian Apostolic Church as the Pashinyan government has already caused. This is, in fact, a spiritual war against the Armenian people, our identity and historical memory. We believe that our Armenian priests who are being tortured in the "KGB" basements of the Pashinyan government should be a guide and an example to endure, resist and survive.
