The head of Gyumri community Vardan Ghukasyan filed a lawsuit against the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan and the Republic of Armenia. He demands not only to deny the defamatory information, but also to recognize the violation of the presumption of his innocence and to pay compensation.

Ruben Rubinyan called Vardan Ghukasyan a "bribery scoundrel" in various posts on his Facebook page after Ghukasyan was charged within the framework of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
In particular, in one of the publications, R. Rubinyan wrote next to Vardan Ghukasyan's picture: "6 months and 1 day. According to the Anti-Corruption Committee, that's exactly what it took for him to return to his favorite business of bribery and get caught. Those who made him mayor - Kocharyan, Sargsyan, Vanetsyan, Dashnaktsutyun and others - bear political responsibility for this. The blesser, Kutrich Nersisyan, is also responsible for the archbishops longing for their princely occupation. And they want to repeat this on a nationwide scale in 2026, to come back and resume their looting. We will not allow it."
