Iran has confirmed the detention of an oil pipeline in the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed on Saturday that it had detained an oil tanker bound for Singapore in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the IRGC press service.

"Yesterday morning at 07:30 (07:00 Moscow time) the rapid reaction units of the Naval Forces of the IRPC observed the movement of the oil tanker named "Talara" bearing the flag of the Marshall Islands.

"After receiving permission to detain the ship from the judicial authorities, the IRPC units began to detain it," said the statement published on the website of the IRPC press service.
