Estonia plans to finance Starlink purchase for Ukraine

The Estonian Ministry of Defense has announced that the Estonian government has decided to allocate 3.5 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase and maintenance of Starlink satellite communication systems to facilitate the continuation of military operations.

At the beginning of November, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmygal reported that Estonia offered to allocate 3 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase and support of Starlink.

"Estonia has decided to allocate 3.5 million euros for the purchase of Starlink communication systems for Ukraine within the framework of the information technology coalition led by Estonia and Luxembourg, which aims to improve Ukraine's information technology capabilities and support its efforts (in conflict - ed.)," said a statement on the website of the country's Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the funds will be provided from the aid package provided by Estonia to Ukraine for 2025.
