Guardian: The US hopes for a UN Security Council resolution on Gaza troops

The United States expects the draft resolution of the UN Security Council on the mandate of the international military contingent in the Gaza Strip to be adopted early next week, after which detailed discussions on the work of the stabilization corps will begin. This was reported by the British newspaper The Guardian, citing sources.

According to an anonymous American official, "we have to get the resolution first". "Countries will not make clear commitments until they see the accepted formulations," he said.

Another diplomatic source stated that the US has no plans to send troops to Gaza. However, according to the publication, the US is open to the participation of European countries, including Great Britain, France and Germany, in the International Stabilization Corps.
