The members of the Armenian boxing team won their first victories in the professional ring


Recently, as a result of the cooperation of the Armenian Boxing Federation and the IBA, the "Night of Champions" tournament, which has already become widespread and has a large prize fund, was held at the Karen Demirchyan sports concert complex, during which three members of the Armenian boxing team had a victorious start in the professional ring. During the boxing evening, the member of the Armenian national team, the European champion, Artur Bazeyan defeated Moldovan Victor Vakulia.

Bazeyan was very active right from the start and the referee stopped the fight in the 6th round and awarded the victory to the Armenian boxer by technical knockout. The European vice-champion, 23-year-old Rafael Hovhannisyan won a confident victory over Otari Gogoberashvili, the representative of Georgia.

Davit Chaloyan also won a convincing victory, already in the 2nd round, he had a brilliant advantage over the representative of Pakistan, Teymur Khan, who had not had any defeat before that.

Chaloyan reached the semi-finals of the IBA PRO World Cup. In the main fight of the evening, Murad Gasiev, who recently received Armenian citizenship, and the undefeated Danish boxer Kem Jungvist faced off. Gasiev won a convincing victory by knockout. Baregham Harutyunyan from the representatives of Armenia also entered the ring, but he lost to the representative of Kyrgyzstan.
