The Ministry of Defense of Turkey announced that there was no ammunition in the crashed plane

The Ministry of Defense of Turkey reported that there was no ammunition in the plane that crashed in Georgia, in which there were 20 servicemen.

The Ministry of Defense of Turkey reported earlier that a Lockheed C-130 Hercules military transport plane crashed in Georgia on Tuesday, killing 20 servicemen.

Ankara is coordinating search and rescue operations with Tbilisi. The office of the President of Turkey announced that the investigation into the causes of the plane crash will be conducted with utmost care.

"Our plane was transporting personnel and maintenance materials. There was no ammunition on the plane," said the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey.
