The Chinese premier will participate in the G20 leaders' summit to be held in South Africa

Chinese Premier Li Qiang will attend the 20th G20 summit to be held in South Africa on November 21-23, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jiang said at a briefing on Thursday.

"At the invitation of the government of the Republic of South Africa, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council of the People's Republic of China will participate in the 20th G20 summit in Johannesburg from November 21 to 23," the diplomat said.

South Africa took over the G20 presidency from Brazil on December 1, 2024. At the end of 2025, it will transfer to United
States.

The G20 leaders' summit will take place on November 22-23 in Johannesburg. The Russian delegation will be headed by Maxim Oreshkin, the deputy head of the presidential staff.
