During the meeting with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarek al-Said, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigun conveyed to him the personal message of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the Security Council informed the journalists.
"Thank you for the warm welcome. I am happy to visit the hospitable country of Oman for the first time and to convey to you the personal message of Russian President Vladimir Putin," Shoigu said.
"We appreciate the credible and constructive nature of the dialogue with our Omani friends on the urgent issues of the global and regional agenda," Shoigu continued.
He thanked the Sultan of Oman for his balanced and considered position on the situation in Ukraine.
