The European Parliament opened an office in Chisinau

The European Parliament has opened a representative office in the capital of Moldova that will work with the public to support President Maia Sandu's European path. This was announced by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola, at a joint press conference with Sandu in Chisinau.

"What better way to establish Moldova's European path than to open a new European Parliament office in Chisinau," Metzola said, promising to "start a dialogue" with local political and non-governmental organizations.

He mentioned the September parliamentary elections, which were marked by massive violations of the rights of opposition groups, as an example of Moldova's "European election".

The head of the European Parliament said that on Friday he gave a speech in the Parliament of Moldova in the presence of "all parties, including the opposition".
