“The polarized media environment prevented voters from making a choice; on voting day everything was organized well, the situation was tense, the secret voting process was disrupted. We actively followed the process throughout the country, this year the elections are taking place at a decisive period, the issues of Georgia’s path to Europe are becoming a topic discussions, it is very important to improve reforms in the country. Voter participation was high, this is a sign that the system is developing and democracy is in the process of development. I would like to thank the Georgian authorities for their active participation in the work of the OSCE mission,” said French politician Pascal Alizar.
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) made the first statement on the results of the elections in Georgia.
