"Some members of the CP Department are concerned about the process of forming the pre-election list. The point is that Pashinyan has decided that the delegates of the CP congress should choose 2026. to the first 30 numbers of the pre-election list.
Although this is a requirement of the law, some in the governing body have proposed to pre-select those 30 in the department, but Pashinyan is in favor of the election by the voters of the assembly.
However, since some staunch CP members gathered less votes during the elections of the September congress, and the defectors Gevorg Papoyan, Vahagn Aleksanyan and Hayk Konjoryan were in the leading positions, and this is in the case when the election was made between only 42 candidates, and there will be several times more candidates at the CP extraordinary congress, which will be called in the spring, so the fate of no one is clear.
A few days ago, Pashinyan announced that the nominations of KP candidates to be included in the electoral list will start from November 1. Candidates can self-nominate in 2025. in the period between November 1-30. And the registration of the candidates will be carried out by the CP department, in the period between December 1-31.
Registered candidates until 2026 must pay a nomination fee by February 5 inclusive. CP members: 500 thousand drams, non-CP members: 1 million 500 thousand drams, about 4 thousand dollars.
