Another tanker bound for India from a Russian port failed to reach its destination, Reuters reported, citing traders and LSEG data.
The ship "Prometheus", which had loaded about 40,000 tons of oil at Ust-Luga in the Baltic Sea, has been floating off the coast of India since October 26 and is unable to enter Mundra port.
A day ago, it became known that the "Furia" tanker, which had loaded 730,000 barrels of crude oil from "Rosneft" in Baltic Primorsk, capsized and left the coast of Germany.
Since the start of the war with Ukraine, India has become the largest buyer of Russian oil, importing 1.6-2 million barrels per day. It is also the second largest oil importer after Taiwan, importing 170,000 tonnes in September.
