At least 65 people were killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of airstrikes following Israel's violation of the ceasefire, "Al Arabiya" reported, referring to the sources of emergency services in the Palestinian enclave.
According to "Al Jazeera", more than 20 children were killed as a result of the strikes. It is reported that residential buildings and refugee camps where displaced Gazans live were also targeted.
On Tuesday, the Israeli army carried out a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire and attacking Israeli troops in the Rafah area in the southern part of the enclave.
Hamas, in turn, postponed the delivery of the remains of an Israeli hostage killed in the Gaza Strip, which was scheduled for the evening of October 28, citing Israel's violations of the agreement. The movement also denied any involvement in the shooting incident in Rafah.
