Putin signed a decree on starting the autumn conscription on October 1

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a document on starting the fall of 2025 on October 1. The relevant decree has been posted on the official website of legal acts.

The document provides for 135 thousand Russian citizens to recover from military service.

"From October 1, 2025 to December 31, the conscription of 135,000 citizens of the Russian Federation for military service," the document reads.

It is noted that the decree enters into force on the day of its official publication.
