US President Donald Trump has threatened with serious consequences for Afghanistan if it refuses to hand over the Bahram air base to the United States. He wrote about this on the Truth Social social network.

"If Afghanistan does not return to the Bahram air base to those who built it, that is, there will be bad things in the United States," he said.

The Bahram air base, built in the 1950s, was used 60 km from Kabul, from 1979-1989, and after the US invasion it was under Washington's control. In 2012, more than 100,000 American soldiers passed.
