The State Department approved the possible sales of $ 780 million in Javelin anti-tank missile systems.


This was announced on Thursday, the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency, which is responsible for selling military equipment and weapons abroad over the intergovernmental agreements. According to the statement, the Polish authorities previously submitted an application for purchasing 2506 Javelin FGM-148F missiles and 253 release devices.


The total value of the transaction is estimated at $ 780 million. The statement said that the sale of this weapon to Poland will "contribute to the implementation of US foreign policy and national security goals, strengthening NATO ally."
