Putin discussed with Modi the development of relations between Russia and India

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss cooperation between the two countries.

"In modern history, in the recent history, more precise, in the days of the Soviet Union, the relations between India and Russia were exclusively trusted, friendly, and, of course, non-partisan," he said during a meeting with the government.

Putin stressed that India provides high economic growth and pursues an independent and sovereign policy. He added that he congratulated the Modi on the occasion of the 75th anniversary.

According to the President, his congratulatory telegram, the Prime Minister had a significant contribution to the development of relations between Moscow and New Delhi.

He noted that he appreciates his relations with Modi and hopes to continue dialogue and work on urgent issues of bilateral, regional and international agendas.
