Erdogan. Turkey continues to dialogue with the son of Libya and Hafetar

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that his country supports dialogue with Libyan authorities and wants to defend its sovereignty and political unity. He told reporters about this after returning from Qatar.

"Saddam Haftar, the son of the Commander of the Libyan National Army Khalifha Haftar, is in touch with our intelligence and regularly contacts the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In other words, they are not isolated from us.

"We believe that in Libya, it is necessary to establish a constructive dialogue between the East and the West. We want to protect Libyan's sovereignty, territorial integrity and political unity, "Anadolu agency quoted Erdogan as saying.

The Turkish leader noted that Ankara "has been supported by Tripoli since the beginning." "Nevertheless, the policy aims to open diplomatic channels not only with Tripoli, but also with the eastern part of Libya. We expect that the political process in Libya will develop through fair and transparent elections. "
