The European Union will not be able to refuse Russian energy resources to the deadline set by Brussels, despite pressure from US President Donald Trump, European Politico reports, citing two European diplomats.
According to the publication, on September 16 the EU's EU Diplomats to meet will discuss changes in the EU's stage-in-Russian gas withdrawal program.
Sources said that the alliance will probably not be able to postpone the date of stopping Russian power supply by 2027, even though Trump's requirements give additional leverage to Hungary.
