In the Council of Europe, they refused to pay tribute to the memory of Charlie Kirk in silence

In the European Parliament (CE), they refused to pay tribute to the memory of the American politician Charlie Kirk in silence. This was reported by Politico newspaper.

It is noted that the relevant initiative was presented by Swedish MP Charlie Weimers, but the President of the Council of Europe Roberta Missola rejected it, referring to the regulations. Later, Waimers tried to keep silent for a minute, using his speech, but he was interrupted by the Speaker of the Parliament Katarina Barley.

Dissatisfied deputies began to scream and hit the tables in protest, in response to which Barley reminded the president's decision.

According to the British daily Mail, Weuders accused the European Parliament, reminding how the legislature remained silent in memory of the American George Floyd.
