The specialists of the Aquarium Research Institute of Monterey (MBARI) described three new types of deep-water snails. Among them is an unusual pink "Ball Sail" (careproctus colliculi), which was first observed in 2019 on a depth of more than 3 km from California. Scientists emphasize that the "deep-sea-khchengeran" is still known only from one finding, but the analysis of MBARI's archival videos suggest that this type may have met before, but it is confused with close relatives.
