The international team of researchers has first shown that the migration of stars, their movement from one region of the Milk, plays an important role in expanding the borders of the so-called galactic resident zone, where it can be developed. The pregnancy of work was published in the Arxiv portal.
The idea of a galactic residential zone was offered in the 1980s and is based on the classic "residential zone" around analogy, where liquid water is possible. Such zones are usually associated with heavy elements, iron, oxygen, silici-rich areas needed to form rocky planets.
The authors used computer models with star migration and without its scenarios. It turned out that the movement of the stars is in the Galaxy Disk, which increases the likelihood of living planets in its external regions. According to the assessments, along with migration, the possibility of appearing a star with a corresponding planet increases about five times.
The study also shows that in the interior of the Milky Katin's domestic worlds, the existence of gas giants affects the formation of the country. They can both stimulate and suppress the birth of rocky planets.
