The EU will discuss Ukraine's security guarantees on August 28-30

EU guarantees of Ukraine's security, as well as strengthened pressure on Russia, will be discussed during unofficial meetings of the Union Foreign Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Brussels Speaker Anita Hipper.

"Discussions on security guarantees are underway, diplomatic efforts are being made. During the informal meetings, we will also discuss how we can increase the pressure on Russia, how can we support Ukraine more and more effectively? "He said.

Earlier, European Commission President Ursula Von Der Lion said that the EU is preparing the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions, which they expect to enter into force in early September.

The West has increased pressure on Russia due to the events in Ukraine, which led to electricity, fuel and food prices in Europe and the United States. Since the launch of a Russian special Russian operation in Ukraine since February 2022, the EU has already submitted 18 packages of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
