Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin met with Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalal, during which current issues of military cooperation, international and regional security were discussed, including the situation in the South Caucasus, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"On August 26, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin and the Russian Federation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Kazem Jalali said," the statement said.
"During the meeting the parties discussed a number of current bilateral military cooperation and the prospects of their implementation. They also exchanged views on the main issues of international and regional security, including the situation in the South Caucasus region, "he said.
