The Chinese authorities condemn the blows of the Nasser Hospital in the Gaza Strip, killing medical workers and journalists, the spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
"We are shocked and again condemn the tragic death of medical workers and journalists during the conflict," he said during a briefing.
The official representative expressed condolences over the victims and their families.
"China is closely following the situation in the Gaza Strip. We are against and condemning any action that harms civilians and infrastructures, violates international law, including the actions of violence against journalists, "he added.
Guo Jacqui demanded that Israel stops military operations in Gaza and secure a "comprehensive and long-term ceasefire" as soon as possible. He also noted the need to restore access to humanitarian aid and to reduce tensions.
