Egypt welcomes the meeting between Russia and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump on August 15 and appreciates diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis in the statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The day before, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov talked to his Egyptian counterpart Badl Abdelati on the main results of the Russian-American summit in Alaska.
"Egypt welcomes the US-Russia summit in Alaska on August 15, as well as the US President with his Ukrainian counterparts in Washington on August 18," the statement said.
