2024 On October 14, a report was received that on the same day, at 2:15 p.m., officers of the Arabkir department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, while conducting operational data near the Griboyedov park in Yerevan city, on the basis of reasonable suspicion of illegal drug possession and sale, were arrested and taken to the Arabkir Police Department. an IRI citizen was transferred to the department, whose personal search revealed 1 package containing vegetable mass, 2 pieces of transparent tape, 1 zip package, 8 chains of small magnets, 19 packages containing brown vegetable mass and 20 packages of vegetable mass. This is reported by the Central Committee of the Republic of Armenia.


According to the preliminary data, according to the citizen's oral statement, the latter illegally purchased the drug "Marijuana" from the user of the "Telegram" application, which is still unknown by investigation, in order to sell it.


Bearing in mind that there is a basis for initiating criminal proceedings, in accordance with Article 393, Part 2, Clause 2 and Article 396, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code, the investigation department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee was initiated. is a criminal proceeding, within the framework of which a decision was made to arrest the mentioned person.


A complex forensic and forensic biological examination was appointed. According to the preliminary conclusion received from the RA KP Expert Criminology Center, the masses found near the arrested person and removed from the packages submitted to the examination are "Marijuana" narcotics.


On the basis of the obtained sufficient facts, a decision was made to initiate a public criminal prosecution against the mentioned person and he was charged under Article 393, Part 2, Clause 2 of the RA Criminal Code.


The prosecuting authority submitted a motion to the court to apply detention as a preventive measure against him, which was granted.


The investigation is ongoing. Measures are being taken to identify the source of the drug, as well as to identify the entire chain of illegal trafficking.


The relevant police department has been instructed.
