Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, publicly spoke about Baku's territorial claims to Armenia, announcing that in the coming days, the meeting of the initiative group created on the issue of "returning to "Western Azerbaijan" (meaning the territory of Armenia) will take place in the Milli Mejlis.

According to him, the country's president Ilham Aliyev has also repeatedly raised issues related to "Western Azerbaijan".

"A meeting will be held in the coming days to discuss the essence of the initiative group's activities," Sahiba Gafarova added.

Let's remind that a few days ago, the meeting scheduled in Geneva between the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, and the Speaker of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, was canceled at the request of the Azerbaijani side. they had reneged on the previously agreed upon agreement at the last moment.
