In almost a month, 870 people arrived in Armenia on the Beirut-Yerevan flight. Sinanyan

From September 28 to October 20, 870 people arrived in Armenia on the Beirut-Yerevan flight, 470 left Armenia. Zareh Sinanyan, Chief Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs under the RA Prime Minister, gave this information in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia, referring to the Israel-Lebanon confrontation. According to him, since the first day of the escalation of the conflict, they have been following the developments and trying to understand the attitudes of the Lebanese Armenian community.
"Recent developments certainly caused tension in the community, but it has not reached the level that people are ready to leave the country in a hurry. There are still no intentions in the community to leave Beirut and come to Armenia. People live with their regime, which was not good from the beginning: unstable electricity supply, water supply, deep economic crisis, but also with the hope that it will be good," said Sinyanyan.
He noted that there is no clear information whether the citizens who arrived in Armenia and then left here returned to Lebanon or went to other countries, because they cannot track the movement of people individually.
