Russia is ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine, but higher-level meetings should be prepared seriously, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Hershinin told reporters.

"There are three stages of negotiations, and we are ready to continue them. As for higher level meetings, such meetings should be seriously prepared. Without it, it is probably premature to talk about them, "he said.

The third round of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place on the evening of July 23 and lasted about an hour.
