Russian President Vladimir Putin received Ali Larijani, Senior Adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kremlin on Sunday.
They discussed the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and the deterioration of the situation around the Iranian nuclear program. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin Spokesman, told reporters on Sunday.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin received Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kremlin. The Iranian representative, on his instructions, gave an assessment of the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East and the Iranian nuclear program, "he said.
"The Russian side has expressed well-known positions, which are aimed at stabilizing the situation in the region and the political solution to the Iranian Nuclear Program," Peskov said.
