The European Council of the World Wrestling Federation has recognized the Olympic champion, multiple award winner, four-time world champion, seven-time European champion, European Games champion, legendary Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan as the best Greco-Roman wrestler of the year in Europe.

The title of the best Greco-Roman coach of the year in Europe was awarded to the USSR international class master of sports, honored coach of Armenia, head coach of the Armenian national Greco-Roman wrestling team Armen Babalaryan.

“The Wrestling Federation of Armenia congratulates Artur Aleksanyan and Armen Babalaryan.

This once again emphasizes the role and place of Armenian wrestling on the world map of the sport.
