"Zhoghovurd" daily informed that one of the officials operating against Tiran Khachatryan, on August 26, 2021, was appointed Artak Budaghyan.
As it is known, the trial of the head of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiran Khachatryan, started in the Court of First Instance of Syunik region.
53-year-old Khachatryan is accused of failing to defend the protection of Alpasha's high proxies in the southern part of Artsakh during the 44-day war. He does not accept the accusation of careless attitude towards the service.
"Based on what basis, there are conclusions outside the military qualifications. Neither professional, I mean professional, draw conclusions and present such conclusions to court as an accusation, "Tiran Khachatryan stated in court.
The Lieutenant's defender claims that Khachatryan, who took over the southern group on October 11, after the Azerbaijani troops, did not have any connection with special troops in Alpasha to instruct them.
