The Speaker of the National Assembly accepted the application of Garegin Baghramyan, the President of the PSC.
According to part 1 of Article 147 of the "Regulations of the National Assembly" constitutional law, the chairman of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission, Garegin Baghramyan, submitted his resignation on October 10, 2024.
"According to part 2 of Article 147 of the Constitutional Law "Regulations of the National Assembly", if within one week after the publication of the resignation, the relevant official with a written application:
1) withdraws his application for resignation, then the Speaker of the National Assembly issues a statement to that effect,
2) does not withdraw his application for resignation, then a protocol is drawn up about the termination of his powers, which is signed and published by the Speaker of the National Assembly. The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of publication of the protocol," said the statement signed by Ruben Rubinyan, deputy speaker of the RA NA, acting as the NA speaker.
