“Today’s session of the Yerevan Council of Elders will be heated, it is not excluded that, like the previous one, the session will be accompanied by bickering and mutual insults. Like the previous session, today too, possible clashes between the government and opposition will be over the increase in transportation prices.
The initiative of former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and the “National Progress” faction will also be on the agenda, whose demand was to introduce a single-use ticket worth 100 drams in parallel with the packages.
The authorities, in turn, will come up with a proposal for new transportation tariff packages. By the way, information was also spread yesterday that the windows of the Yerevan Municipality were broken. The Municipality informed ArmLur.am that the incident occurred on February 7, and the case has been sent to the police. An investigation is underway.”
