By the decision of the Board of the Central Bank of RA in 2025. From January 27, 2024 with a nominal value of 20,000 drams will be put into circulation. the RA banknote of issue, which is a legal tender in the territory of the RA and subject to unconditional acceptance at its face value without time limits.
In 2024 a visible color-changing security feature has been added to the reverse of the issue banknote, with the face value numeral in the lower left corner printed in optically variable ink.
The year of issue, 2024, and the signature of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia have been changed on the obverse side of the banknote.
1999-2021 RA banknotes with a nominal value of 20,000 drams of issue remain in circulation without restrictions and changes in circulation conditions.
