Scammers Create Dozens of Phishing Sites With 'Trump Coins'

Fraudsters have created dozens of phishing websites that offer cryptocurrencies from US President Donald Trump's family members, Euromedia24.com reports with reference to Известия

Despite the fact that only the cryptocurrency of the head of the White House and his wife Melania officially exists, criminals also offer to buy the coins of other members of his family.

Criminals use the following scheme: first you need to go to a special bot, and then to a website where they allegedly give $900,000 in tokens.

This is where they will be required to pay a 0.2 ton "verification fee", after which people will not receive coins. Furthermore, this way you can lose your own funds as well as make your data available to fraudsters for their future scams.

"Either the victim does not get what he paid for, or he is deprived of what he already has. And at the same time, data is collected for future attacks," said Phishman's executive director. Alexey Gorelkin.

Since January 17, about 350 domains have been found for Donald and Melania Trump memecoins.

Trump's launch of memecoin was previously seen as a threat to the crypto industry.
