The RA Ministry of Internal Affairs is preparing to present a bill on awarding weapons in the coming days. Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan announced this during a press conference.
According to him, this is due to the fact that guns were often given to people who violated laws, for example, used drugs.
"The state should also divide the possibility of acquiring weapons in the legal field and understand who will acquire them, because they can be problematic. Regarding the reward institution, we have serious problems, because the processes of rewarding a person with a gun were regulated in different ways at different times.
Currently, many people have combat or other guns for reasons unknown to us.
In case of awarding the state with weapons, it should be sure that the recipient is the right person," the minister said.
He stressed that our task is to bring illegally traded weapons and ammunition into the field of vision of the state.
