The US has revealed what the gas shortage in Europe will lead to

Europe, faced with energy scarcity, threatens to provoke a global gas battle, writes Bloomberg.

"Europe risks missing its gas stockpile targets for next winter, setting the stage for an eventual supply scramble before new liquefied natural gas capacity begins to ease the situation next year," the paper said.

It is noted that at the same time, poorer developing countries from Asia to South America are at risk of being pushed out of the market.

On January 1, "Gazprom" announced that it was deprived of the technical and legal ability to supply gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine, as the contract with "Ukraine Naftogaz" OJSC expires, Russian gas will not be supplied from 8:00 a.m. to 1 January. The authorities of Ukraine have repeatedly stated that they do not plan to extend the transit agreement.
