The newly elected US President Donald Trump commented on the article published in the American newspaper The Hill, which calls on the Congress to block his return to power, citing the provisions of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
"Is The Hill trying to organize a riot?" Trump wrote on his TRUTH Social social network, responding to the publication.
The Hill previously called on Congress to exercise its constitutional authority to block Trump from taking office.
The authors of the article, attorneys Evan Davis and David Schulte, said Trump's actions violate Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which prohibits people who have participated in insurrection or aid to enemies of the Constitution from holding public office.
