The agreement on the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran will be signed on January 17 in Moscow during the talks between the presidents of the two countries. This was announced by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic to Russia, Kazem Jalali.
"Talking about the readiness of Iran and Russia to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two countries, Kazem Jalali announced the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian to Moscow on January 17 and announced that the cooperation agreement between the two countries will be signed. Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin," the statement of the Iranian embassy in Moscow said.
On December 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic announced that the visit of the Iranian president can take place until January 19, 2025.
The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement intends to become the most important stage in the development of relations between Russia and Iran. According to the officials of the two countries, the agreement covers all areas of bilateral cooperation and will open new horizons in various fields of Russian-Iranian cooperation, including defense, energy, transport, industry, culture, science and technology and the provisions of the 2001 Treaty on the Principles of Cooperation.7
