The "Christmas agenda" was more important than the conversation with Lavrov. Zakharova

The journalists of one of the German media, who were invited to the virtual press conference of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, did not receive permission from Berlin to participate in it, allegedly because of the "Christmas agenda", said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, Ria Novosti reports.

In an interview with the "Russia 24" TV channel, he noted that this German media, having received an invitation to a press conference with the head of the Russian diplomatic department, announced the need to contact Berlin and consult with the editors.

"Then the German journalists called and said that they are not allowed, and when we asked, "Tell us, why?", the answer surprised us, because they "have a Christmas agenda," said Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
