Netanyahu ordered the rocket attack on the Houthis' strategic facilities

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israel Defense Forces to attack strategic Houthi targets in Yemen, and that the attack was "not the last". The prime minister issued a statement in the Knesset (Parliament). "Together with the defense minister, we have directed the Israeli Defense Forces to target Houthi strategic targets. This is not the first attack won't be the last, Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu added that Israel "has established a very simple principle: whoever tries to harm (Israel) will receive harm in return." "Israel is strengthening its deterrent force, hitting its enemies and destroying Iran's terrorist satellites one by one," he added.

On December 19, the Israeli army announced that it had registered a rocket attack from the territory of Yemen on the central part of the country. A school building in Ramat Gan, an eastern suburb of Tel Aviv, was seriously damaged by debris after the missile was fired. Later that day, the Israeli military announced strikes on Houthi rebel targets in Yemen, including energy infrastructure in Sana'a.

On the morning of December 21, the Israeli military recorded the launch of a rocket from Yemen towards central Israel. According to the press service of the Israeli army, the missile was not caught and fell in the territory of Tel Aviv. According to Israel's National Emergency Service, at least 14 people were injured in the incident.
